The children of the rainforest share their feelings and impressions about their moms.
About Mom is a commercial short film for the NGO Verdens Skove (Forests of The World) with the intention of raising awareness and empathy towards the fight to preserve the rainforests of the world. It is a film mostly aimed at adults that appreciate the spontaneity and sincerity of children. It is inspired by Nick Park's Creature Comforts.
Directed by Philip Piaget
As director of this film I was responsible for interviewing children around Viborg, Denmark and choosing the best sound bites to create a story and appealing characters. After constructing the film I directed all production, from storyboarding to final rendering.
I worked with an extremely talented team that brought a new dimension to the voices. I wanted to achieve a very playful tone that juggled the wild. sweet and spicy nature of children to communicate the message most effectively.
